Post subject:  CN Flanger restoration

Just wanted to give a quick update on one of the projects being worked on at the Niagara Railway Museum in Fort Erie, Ontario. In December 2016 we moved a 1935 wood body flanger to our site. CN 56323 started out life as a flat car before becoming a Flanger. In 2017 we started to strip the one side, and have finally started to install the new boards this summer. the custom cut tongue in groove boards are painted before going on the car, and will receive a final coat when the side is finished. I've included pics that show the progression of the work being done. We have a very small crew of volunteers doing the work, so really pleased with the progress being made.

Great work! Very nice little museum by the way, not to be overlooked while people visit nearby CNR 6218.
