Was looking up the details today of a loco I photographed in Canada whilst on vacation several years ago and discovered it's actually for sale at the moment..... https://www.uppercanadavillage.com/train/ Can't recall seeing it mentioned on here, so not sure how long it's been advertised. My photo of it from 2007.... Attachment: 7-523.JPG [ 203.01 KiB | Viewed 9145 times ] |

It has only been made available very recently. Your photo makes it look in pretty good condition, but it's not... http://www.morrisburgleader.ca/2019/07/ ... TDxpUE3ziQ |

I'd like to know more about the locomotive itself. The cars tend to deteriorate at the speed of light, but the steam loco, provided it hasn't been left open stack and vandalized, could be a good find for some other Ontario preservation groups. Perhaps somebody who hsas visited lately, or is about to visit, will come back with a sober accessment? |

The Mogul is of the same class as Strasburg #89 and Middletown & Hummelstown number 91. Another of these ex-Canadian National 2-6-0's is at the Age of Steam Museum in Ohio. I believe the 1008 number is an earlier number. Not sure what number it had when retired from the CN. Les |

They were built by the Canadian Locomotive Company in Kingston, Ontario in 1910. |

I'd of never guessed those cars were in such bad shape. I never stopped so I never saw that side of them. Looks like all attention and care was put into the side facing the highway. |
