| Post subject: | make plans for your collection |
This forum deals with preservation in terms of big picture items like saving rolling stock, but we often forget memorabilia collections. We have all heard horror stories about collections going into the trash because a collector dies and does not make an effort to include instructions concerning said collection to heirs. Yes, DO IT! One of our members amassed a collection of black and white prints of Philadelphia trolleys. Henry is still with us, but he planned ahead: http://www.ectma.org/adamcik.html I've used some of Henry's collection on this forum to show streetcar features. Phil Mulligan |
