All, Many thanks to those here on RYPN who attended our Legend of Steam Event with Ross Rowland in Cleveland last night in support of our ongoing firebox work on the 2100. Your friendship and support is MUCh appreciated! For those who are looking for additional opportunities to support and would like to have a chance to fire the 765, we are raffling off two spots that were generously donated by our friends at the Ft. Wayne Railroad Historical Society for Monday, September 28 while 765 is visiting CVSR for this year's "Steam in the Valley" event. Tickets are $20.00 each and 100% of the proceeds will benefit our ongoing work on the 2100! https://www.fireup2100.org/product/raff ... plate-765/ Sincerely, Rob Gardner ASR VP and 2100 Project Manager |

And if you can't fire, be sure to ride the CVSR 'Steam in the Valley' event train if you can. 765 is in fine form! |

I saw the Sunday afternoon trip returning to Akron. Was Rich at the throttle on that trip? I thought I saw him in the brief flash-by of the locomotive cab at MP 43. |

Actually Rich ran some of the CVSR trips last year, and announced his retirement at that time. My guess is that his certification still has time left on it, and he could probably run a trip if he wanted to. |
