| Post subject: | FREE caboose stove |
Anybody remember that stove I was restoring viewtopic.php?f=1&t=43454 ? It is a Union Caboose stove #29 and as I was getting done restoring it I came upon the correct Estate Caboose stove that would have gone in our CV caboose. That means the union Caboose stove is now surplus. I managed to fill the hole in the bottom part but it looks fairly patchy, still a hell of a lot better than a big gaping hole. With proper sanding and filing it could probably be made to look seamless. Also there is no Ash pan and I needed the Shaker grate for the Estate stove so no shacker grate. Hopefully outside everything's complete and it looks pretty good. And it's free to any nonprofit Railroad Museum that wants it. |
