Note and photos on the AOTT website about the arrival of this boxcar at the Everett Railroad where the car is reported as joining the Everett's "historic freight car collection". I checked on the railroads website which has an equipment roster but it only shows steam and diesel locomotives and passenger cars; no freight equipment. So I'm not sure what else is included in that collection. The car was one of those left at Noblesville and recently put up for auction. Great to hear that it has been saved and sent to a new home. Les I'm not sure some days myself, but let's try to make a list: PRR 571060 X29 boxcar (repainted, serviceable) PRR 77815 X31A boxcar (the one from Noblesville, presently not serviceable) RDG 90946 tank car ex-CONX 5253 (stored, not serviceable) BWCX 2663 hopper car (maybe only surviving Berwind White hopper car, stored, not serviceable) LNE xxxxx composite gondola, original number unknown, from Lebanon, Mason & Monroe RR (stored) EV 469433 50' steel flat car ex-PRR same number, assigned m/w EV 91517 caboose, ex-CNJ same number The above are all held as relics but there are a few other cars sitting around for storage or m/w service. The shop has their hands full with passenger car work but we fiddle around with freight cars when time allows. - Alan Maples Everett Railroad |

Alan - Thanks very much for the list. Very nice freight car collection! Also notice that you have a different number for the PRR class X31A box car you just got from Noblesville. The current number of the car is her "in company service" road number so am glad you were able to determine her "in regular common carrier service" number. Look forward to her eventual repainting. The X31a made its way to Duncansville on Monday the 28th, after reposing in Hollidaysburg at the yard for a little while. The X29 needed turned, so the B32 brought it out for a spin around the old New Portage Junction wye. Have to believe this is the first time a B32 ever switched an X31a and an X29 on the same day...
