Recently I learned the MA & PA Preservation Society has a GE 45 Ton diesel in its collection. Does anyone know the history of this unit?

Thanks

John

It came from Roebling, New Jersey. The former Roebling Steel mill, I believe. It is my understanding that there are still 2 GE 80 or 100 tonners still there. The site is an EPA Superfund site and I understand that the equipment is not currently accessible by active rail.
