Post subject:  Locomotive "EUREKA" opeating next two weekends

Just a quick note for those interested.

Dan Markoff's 3' gauge 4-4-0 built in 1875 for the Eureka & Palisades as #4, EUREKA, is operating the next two weekends (Dec 14-15 and 21-22). This is on 2000' of track located at the Nevada State RR Museum at Boulder City, Nevada.

Boulder City is on the road between Las Vegas and Hoover Dam and was created to provide housing for the managers of the construction of the dam. The Museum is located on the former site of the depot and yard of the Union Pacific branch that served the construction.

The EUREKA is hauling a replica flatcar that is equipped with bench seating. Passengers are carried on the flatcar in a on-demand service, except when wood is being loaded into the tender, etc. No charge to ride; but, contributions to help pay for the wood are encouraged.
