The Pacific Northwest Chapter of the NRHS has just been granted host of the 2005 national convention to be held in Portland, Or. The celebration not only coincides with the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial, but it also celebrates the 50th birthday of the PNWC, the oldest chapter in the west. The dates will be made availible around December, and events as they're confirmed. Although more "todays rails", I would suggest picking up the newest Trains magazine, as Portland is featured in depth, and it will be a great planning guide and give you an idea of what is around "The City Of Roses".
