So, I'm trying to search for pictures (historical or more recent) of the D&RGW K27s for a brief synopsis of the class I'm putting together. For those of you who are familiar with Drachinifel over on Youtube (granted he's a naval history guy, but the format he does is solid in my mind), you might get an idea of the format I'm trying to go with. Ideally I want to do this as part of outreach for my small On30 kit business, basically use what I learn through my research for kit ideas to help educate people on narrow gauge locomotives. And I'm keeping the gauge narrow simply because the vast quantities and classes of locomotives built over the last century and a half are enough to make my head spin, and keeping focus on a given topic is likely to lessen that. It's also going to come down to what research materials I can find on a given locomotive (or in this case class of locomotives) and photographs I can use. |

If I'm to make presentation on them, I'll need plenty of photographs. So if someone is willing to let me use some of theirs (or if I can also go to the Denver Public Library to see if I can use some out of their collection, I'm just not sure how it would work), it would make my life a lot easier. I've got five from the collection of Chris Lane that he's allowed me to use, but I already know that I need more than that. |
