We all know about the John Bull, but is there a way to find out about the other locomotives the C&A ran? There isn't much on the internet about it. MS |

Here is a 1891 history of the Camden and Amboy that discusses the John Bull in the context of other locomotives: https://www.google.com/books/edition/Camden_and_Amboy_Railroad/sHIpAAAAYAAJ?hl=en&gbpv=0 The Smithsonian published a history of the John Bull in 1981 that included a roster of the Camden and Amboy. I wasn't able to find a copy on-line, but it is widely held by US public libraries and it should be relatively easy to request through inter-library loan from your local public library (holdings available via the link below). https://www.worldcat.org/title/john-bull-150-years-a-locomotive/oclc/571912921&referer=brief_results |

Go here: http://www.douglas-self.com/MUSEUM/LOCO ... /lever.htm and go down to the C&A Monster class locomotives. A few pages here: http://prr.railfan.net/documents/Motive ... t/p07.html |

As it turns out I have a roster for the C&A. Drop me an Email and I will send it to you. |
