From www.railpace.com/hotnews :

KINZUA BRIDGE REPAIRS: The State of Pennsylvania's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has announced that emergency repairs to the Kinzua Viaduct will commence in January. The Knox & Kinzua Railroad suspended operations across the bridge last summer due to unsafe conditions. Rust has resulted in the loss to the bridge integrity. Contractor W.M. Brode of Newcomerstown, Ohio will perform the $3.9 million in repairs to the bridge. Work will include structural repairs and repainting. Once the work is completed, train service is expected to resume across the bridge. (posted 11/19/02)

Unusually for Hotnews items, there is no source listed. You decide whether Carl Perelman's editorship passes the "anonymous posting" scrutiny.
