The wheels have stopped at the Trolley Museum during the COVID-19 outbreak. We remain concerned for the health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff - as well as the whole community.
National Capital Trolley Museum canceled a full spring season of school groups in our education program, four special events, including our signature "Cavalcade of Trolleys," and ten weekends of public hours. The estimated revenue loss is in excess of $10,000, or 15 percent of earned revenue during our busy spring season. In addition, a new exhibit installation and several restoration and conservation projects have been delayed.
However, the work continues behind the scenes at National Capital Trolley Museum. Our Program Director and Bookkeeper must work ahead to plan future programs and pay the bills! In addition to paying the staff, the Museum needs to purchase hardware and software to allow them to work remotely.
Your generous gift will help the staff continue their work so the Trolley Museum is ready to re-open in the near future.
