Looking for a complete roster of all the equipment owned by the Illini Railroad Club for a project. So far I know they owned Pullman heavyweight observation car Inglehome, a Wabash car, an Illinois Terminal observation car, and an ATSF sleeper. Were there any more?

Thanks,
Thomas

In addition to IT observation 234, the club had former motor car 233. Both of these were business cars in later years of the IT.

I seem to recall that the Illini Railroad Club ran an excursion with the IT cars being pulled by a Illinois Terminal diesel over the railroads remaining trackage. I don't think there was any electric operation left at that time, but some of the overhead was still in place and the cars were posed at certain historic spots. Anyone have any photos of that particular trip (or trips)?

The sleeping car was former AT&SF 6-6-4 "Pleasant Valley" and it was renamed "Chief Illini II" during its brief service for the Illini RR Club. It is now preserved at the museum at Monticello, IL.

The Hicks Car Works page has a flyer for an excursion using the IT cars that includes a photo of an earlier excursion.

There was one other IT car owned by Klebolt and used on fan trips. IT 518.

This car was named the Illini.

All three IT interurbans, and the Inglehome, now reside at IRM.
