I sure miss the America I grew up in where people respected other's property.
We have become the world's largest insane asylum.

Arson, theft and vandalism isn't new.

What's new is the world wide communication network that allows people around the world to hear about a small fire that would have been page 3 in the local paper 40 years ago, if it was mentioned at all.

That said, it does show the very urgent need to get the fire protection system up and running in the historic structures as soon as they possibly can, if it's not already done. Also should have security cams and motion sensor alarms.

That's true! I believe it was the Tom Thumb, who's first trial operation had to be postponed because someone stole the copper piping during the night.

I haven't heard much else about this action, what exactly was burned? A pile of replacement ties, ties on the bridge? Wasn't anything on their Facebook page yesterday.
