Does anyone happen to know what happened to two of the boxcars that were used in the 1996 John Woo movie "Broken Arrow?" They appear to be ex-NYC, so it would be interesting to see where they ended up. It seems Monad Rail Equipment owned all of the cars used in the film, as they all have MREX reporting marks. Here is my listing for the disposition of the equipment: Broken Arrow Consist GP9 CM 1814-----Still on roster, Central Montana Rail. Boxcar MREX 55969----Disposition unknown. Flatcar MREX/JTTX 601271----Likely wrecked during filming. Cattle Car NR 94266----Actually a flatcar, stored at Monad Rail Equipment, La Mirada, CA. Boxcar MREX 78827----Stored behind Ballast Point Brewing, Miramar, CA. Boxcar MREX 55921----Disposition unknown. |
