Please direct your questions to the organization in the request. I got this yesterday and was asked to place it on this site as a means to help the organization. I presume there are underlying issues that we're not aware of. Thanks! |

I see a Missouri-Illinois wood waycar, a BN and a Family Lines steel wide vision, a Frisco steel, and an SP bay window, plus that red thing with the reporting marks painted out, but who knows what they are selling. The M-I car is definitely a rarity. |

If these are the ones I think they are, they had been on Ozarks website for several years until the end of last year.... Nobody was buying at the prices then, so now it's a fire sale? |

This isn't a good time to break with tradition. Becoming rational at the last minute is SOP. |

I don't want to stray the topic as time is of the essence if any of these cabeese gets saved, however I googled Granite City, IL and on the southeast side of town (where the cabeese are im supposing) I ran across a railyard packed with all kinds of passenger cars and even what appears to be a complete Zephyr. I wasn't aware all that stuff was stashed there. Does anyone have info on whats all there and why? Here is the yard zoomed in on the Zephyr https://earth.google.com/web/search/Gra ... GZGhmYUlfA |

To be fair about this: My understanding of the situation (through some evidence) was that these cabooses ended up in the situation they are in NOT because of the actions of the ARCHES, but rather because of an individual using the name of the society incorrectly, and then having title dumped upon the society by the member. I have never seen any indication that these cabooses were part of any formal "society" preservation project. There was mention that "the society had several surplus examples for sale," with the phone number and name of the individual in question, in the "Captive Cabeese" listing book. So, therefore, although the results of the ARCHES may be called into question, the plot like of Ed's "meme" does NOT apply to this situation. |
