OK, will check my stacks of stuff. I know I have some technical stuff, not sure about artwork.

Well, one thing that is little known about those old DC generators is that they rely on a residual magnetic field inside the mechanical "iron parts" of the generator to produce usable voltage at the "output".

Over time (decades or so) this residual magnetism in the generator decays and spinning the rotor is no longer enough to create an output Voltage/Current. It becomes necessary to "Flash" the internal windings to recreate that residual magnetic field in the internal iron parts of the generator.

So, if you get it all cleaned up and reassembled and "spin it" it is very likely that you won't see any "juice" coming out of it.

Bit of a "Black Art" making an old DC Generator "live" again. Can be done, but you have to connect the correct wires to an electric source.

Been a while since I've done this, but I think the correct procedure it to connect the field windings to a 12 volt battery by tapping a jumper cable quickly a few times to the field terminal. That re-magnitizes the iron in the field portion of the magnetic circuit. After that operating the generator occasionally reinforces the residual magnetic field in the "iron parts" of the generator.

Lectricity.. Folks been studying it for years... Nobody really knows how the Heck it works...
