Does anyone remember whether the articles for Locomotive and Railway Preservation magazine were indexed? Online maybe?

I wanted to check on a specific restoration technique that they might have covered. Might be a worthwide project for someone.

I could try to scan all the table of contents pages, then ABBY them and put it in a thread here so it could be searched...

Are you a member of JSTOR? The RLHS material is all there, including the past indexes. Not up to date, but a lot of work done by Tom Tabor and another member.

If not a member, email or PM me.

I don't think he's referring to the official publication of the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society, he's referring to the former independent publication from the 1980s and '90s, published and edited by Mark Smith. Right?

Yes, Locomotive and Railway Preservation, published in the late 80's early 90's. Mark Smith was the editor.

Similar similar inquiries were made here on RyPN several years ago. The magazine was last owned by Pentrax who retains the publishing rights thus limiting any on-line reproduction opportunity.

I subscribed to the magazine from day one and have a complete set. I do not recall any published index. If there is something in particular you are searching for, please PM me.
