That’s an oldie - pre 1931. I ran across a list online about two years ago along with a detailed history of Industrial Brownhoist that had most if not all of IB’s production of locomotive cranes and derricks by serial number. I don’t recall if it included Brown Hoisting in Cleveland before the merger with Industrial. For all I know that could have been your list. I’ll see if I saved that link somewhere when I get to my laptop. |

Eric, That probibly is my list. Still lots of holes in it. The guy took a pic of the builder's plate but I can't read it. |

I’d need a copy of the original image to work it but it looks like the c/n might be 6198 or 3. Is that even within the realm? |

Those numbers would fall between these two: 6122 15t C 1916 Bethlehem Steel Corp. Lackawanna, NY 6279 15t C 1916 Anaconda Co, Anaconda, MT |

I stared at the image a bit more. I’m pretty sure that it is 6198. I can’t read the capacity or much of anything else to identify it further. |

After another cup of coffee and stare fest, the plate kinda looks like it says 29,000 lbs which puts it at 14.5 tons. Don’t put that down in ink, though. Also, the cab is different than the one at Globe looking at the back left corner but the boom looks very similar counting the truss pieces and if you ignore the special attachment at Cannon City. That is about all I can discern without having another builders plate to compare it to. |
