Some film cohorts are working on a project involving HEAVEN'S GATE, and a picture from the set shows Everett L. Rohrer holding a home movie camera. Are his archives collected anywhere where there might be a chance of the film he shot on the set being in existence? Any info would be welcomed.... |

Everett's daughter (Melanie??) and son-in-law (John Pikar??) sold Everett's "Movie Train" after his passing to Heber Valley Railroad. As far as I know there was nothing in the way of "archives" involved in the sale. You may want to contact Craig Lacey, who was the director of the railroad at the time of the sale. He is still involved there and they may be able to provide you with his contact information and thereby contact information for the Pickars. sc 'doc' lewis |

Several years ago many of Everett Rohrer's 16mm films were sold on Ebay. I bought some and I think Greg Scholl bought some. I have Everett's D&RGW 3600 class 2-8-8-2 films from Minturn, CO which I am planning to use in an upcoming DVD production. I have others, including some of his 2-8-0 which may find it's way into a future video. Perhaps Greg will chime in on what he has. -Jim Herron |
