A number of scenes were also filmed in Milwaukee. One street scene featured a rubber-tired horsecar "running" along tracks painted on the pavement (the cobble stones were painted too). I haven't seen the film for a long time, but I am certain that at least one of the steam railroad scenes was filmed there. My high school buddies and I were among the many extras in the daytime street scenes. The RR scene I am thinking of was shot at night.
