A few that I can think of:

Sam Freeman, well-to-do backer of and participant in Black River & Western (and other operations), owner of FEC 4-6-2 #148 (and other equipment), one of the early founders of T.R.A.I.N., and a leader in dealing with the "first" insurance crisis, in 1972-73.

Ellis D. Atwood-- EDAVille, need I say more? Without him, no two-footers!!

Nick Kolvalchik-- He's why there's still an EBT to ride and enjoy and debate!!

Marvin Cohen, of Empire State Railway Museum, who published the Steam Passenger Service Directory for so many years.

Mark Smith, for L&RP.
