When my long-time friend Bob Farkas sent this image to his distribution list last week, I'm sure he had no idea what the disposition of the lead unit was. It was just a good image of an early Penn Central second-class passenger/mail train passing through our region. Craig Sanders did a little research and discovered that not only does it still exist, but it turned out to have a significant history to many in this group and other fans in the country.
