Last March I was in Evanston, Wyoming, and found the large roundhouse still standing. Although
looking quite abandoned and unloved, it appeared to be in rather good condition for the circumstances.
Anyone know about it, and what, if anything, is being done to save and restore it? The little UPRR
depot has been nicely restored. It was built in 1900, and is now on the National Register of Historic Buildings. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to look into the status/future of the roundhouse, and the depot was closed so I couldn't inquire there.
