Stumbled across this listing on Facebook Marketplace.

I had known this caboose existed because of the steam locomotive that had been stored with it, but never knew the history behind it. Now that it is being offered for sale the listing provided some new photos which (although poor quality) revealed details that lead me (and a few friends) to the conclusion that it is in fact Fonda Johnstown and Gloversville Caboose #1, which was purchased at the Rail City Auction before moving to a barn in Ohio. The steel side sheets are the main give away. I present this information with the hopes that it will fall on the radar of someone with the means to do something about it.

I believe the Glover locomotive that kept this company has been finally sold.

Interestingly, the longer this caboose sits, the worse the photos get. LOL

The Glover Locomotive went to the Kirby Family farm in Florida... A little surprised the caboose didnt...
The locomotive was at Six Gun Territory years ago, as a static display, so it was a natural choice for them...
I suspect the cabooses $8k price tag is way high considering its condition, size and usefulness to those most likely to want it....
