Strasburg Junction was once the hub of the railroad in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. A new video takes a look back at an earlier time and the remains of a lost era.

You mean the one called Leaman Place PA?

Curiously, the Lincoln Inaugural train stopped there on its way to Harrisburg. Then as now there was not really much of a town there but it wonders me if a delegation didn't come from the Borough of Strasburg to hear Mr. Lincoln. Using the Strasburg RR of course.

That’s the one! I’m still hoping to see an Amtrak platform and turntable there as was once almost a reality. (I know wishful thinking at this point but hey... someone’s got to keep the firebox of hope burning!)
