Interestingly, they now have potential ownership of one locomotive set up for coal firing (5030) and one for oil firing (18). I wonder if they will convert 18 back to it's original coal firing set-up, convert 5030 to oil during restoration, or simply have 2 locomotives that operate on different fuels. I imagine having them set up for different fuels would make it harder to bulk order fuel (coal or oil). It's probably too early to make predictions as to what they will do, but I found this interesting nonetheless. |

If they are forward-thinking they will set both of them up to run on liquid biofuel. |

I'm just wondering where the locomotives will be stored, and maintained / restored once they are on the property. Since currently everything is left out in the open; is Colebrookdale planning on building a shop complex like what Strasburg / Western Maryland has but on a rebuilt spur or siding? |

Hope everyone is correct with respect to the group’s financial status. Restoring two sizable locomotives, let alone transporting them, sounds expensive. |

In looking at their 2018 tax return (990) on line, they brought in about $2.3Million in 2018. About half was in grants, the other half service revenue. Pretty impressive. |

They’re stealing all of the Michigan steam locomotives noooooo lol. Good to see both the 5030 and 18 go to what I would assume to good homes with good intentions. I wish them luck on their restorations. |

Also note that some of the fundraisers they have done have been for equipment that never ended up in their possession.
