Congratulations AGAIN, Les. Now all you have to do is find the other plate. BTW, the ALCO built 4-8-4s of Nacionales de Mexico, which includes the 3028 owned by the ALCO Historic and Technical Society, also used this style of plate.

Yes, C&O 2789 is a beauty, and she gets my vote.

This original plate will be used to make two replications that will go up on the 2789.

OF COURSE. You might call the Gramling Brothers. They just set up a foundry, and I think they may have a pattern for an ALCO plate. This would avoid the shrinkage that you'd get if you used the original for a pattern.
