Congratulations AGAIN, Les. Now all you have to do is find the other plate. BTW, the ALCO built 4-8-4s of Nacionales de Mexico, which includes the 3028 owned by the ALCO Historic and Technical Society, also used this style of plate. Yes, C&O 2789 is a beauty, and she gets my vote. |

OF COURSE. You might call the Gramling Brothers. They just set up a foundry, and I think they may have a pattern for an ALCO plate. This would avoid the shrinkage that you'd get if you used the original for a pattern. |
