Does anyone know the location of the "Clinchfield" office car in Boulder, Colorado? I plan to be in the area and would like the opportunity to see it. This car was CC&O No. 1 and built in 1906 and was known as "Clinchfield". Information I have is that it is on the property of Coyote Hill Farm in Boulder, Co.but I have been able to locate this property on google maps. Thanks.........WSJ |

Thanks for the Google Map Link. That should be it. I had heard a couple of cabooses were connected to the office car. Thanks again. |

Does anyone know who the owner is or their contact number? The information I have is from 12 years ago and I believe that person sold out and moved. I appreciate it....... |

Quick Google shows this company as being associated with that address. The CEO is also listed as at that address as well. https://www.macrostax.com/ |

The Boulder County assessor has a website. There is a GIS map that can be zoomed into to see streets and then property lines. Clicking within the outline of a parcel will bring up options that include the ownership and tax information. This url should help you: https://maps.boco.solutions/propertysearch/ This shows that the owner of the property has an out-of-state address. I'll allow you to discover this information. |

Thanks for the replies. I think you guys have taken care of me, now to contact the owner to see if I can arrange a visit instead of just showing up and taken to jail for trespassing. Scott |

I was able to make the trip to Boulder and visited Office Car Clinchfield. The owner met my wife and I there and the visit was wonderful. Being a former employee and interested in its history, this car to me was the ultimate Clinchfield visit. Yes, Clinchfield #1 steam engine is at Baltimore (I have never seen), but to me, this office car built in 1906 for the Clinchfield cannot be beat. The woodwork was rich/ornate and I was surprised by the number of stained glass windows. As with any office car, if it could talk, it would be nice to hear the stories of George L. Carter, M.J. Caples, L.H. Phetteplace, and others. A great visit!!!!!! |

Awesome when things like that work out! |

Were you able to identify the cabooses? The coach appears to be on rails, is it the same for the cabooses? |
