The website says they sold the operation.

The other week it was reported that the "Ventura County Transportation Commission is currently in negotiations with another short line operator to take over operations." I would not expect any information to be released until the new operator is signed up.

I understand that one thing going for the F&W - and was beneficial for the retiring owners - is that the F&W is within a radius circle from Hollywood that allows film companies to make this a "report to" location for union crews instead of having to pay transportation costs.

So it will be interesting what happens in the future.

At noon on June 26, 2021, KABC 7 featured an update: https://abc7.com/fillmore-trains-and-we ... /10832039/

It seems the future of the Fillmore & Western remains uncertain.
