I am a fan of SP Daylight Coaches from the 1984 Worlds Fair. and I was wandering where I can in person see some of them

I keep hearing that some are scrapped, but i see pictures of them from later on.

if anyone could kindly tell me which ex Shasta Daylight coaches are preserved and their location, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There is a long thread on this board about the 1984 Worlds Fair Daylight, originally started in 2002 and then reactivated in 2013 and still has had sporadic posts up until earlier this year.

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2842

Keep in mind this thread wandered back and forth a bit between the Daylight (or Daylight painted consists) assembled for 1984 and 1991 trips, and goes into some other passenger cars loosely associated with the Daylight cars as well. And given the thread has been active off and on for 19 years there have been some changes to the status of some of the equipment, some which are reflected in later posts in the thread. Some recent developments have not been added to the thread, such as the Napa Valley Wine Train bought the four cars John Clark owned, they are now in Napa awaiting potential future rebuilding.

38.289894 x -122.280546, Decimal Degrees coordinate system. Specific location is south of the Napa Valley Railroad shops next to what looks like new apartment or condominium complex. There is a string of cars there in the most recent Google Earth imagery, dated 21 October 2020, including what looks like maybe six passenger cars. I'm pretty sure the four Daylight cars are stored there, at least that's about where I've seen them. Looks like there is some sort of a walking path between the railroad and the river that comes south from Napa, that might afford a close view of the cars.

Just to confirm, there is a walking/cycle path alongside the rail yard there (it runs along the river bank) as I walked along there myself back in September 2019, though I didn't take any photos of the cars in question - just a few of the locos stored by the workshops.
