This was sent to me and I thought I would share it here. This guy has put a lot of effort into restoring this little mule and shares his plans for going forward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTO7gCjLTxg&t=330s |

That is way cool. If you look in an old HK Porter catalog, they used to make little steam locomotives for use in factory material handling systems, kind of like this guy's railroad. Did they really scrap every last one ?? It sure would be a lot more sensible size for little people like me to fix up... |

Steven - I got the impression that the restoration was done in that building and that, from the "tour" of the outside property, that there was going to be quite a bit of track laid down for the electric mine locomotive in the future. Including some "mine openings" as visual effects. Will be interesting to see how his plans progress. Les |

I think I heard 18" gauge somewhere in the video. Les |

QJdriver - There are actually quite a few still in existence throughout the US. |

This looks almost exactly like a couple such mine locos I have seen throughout Arizona, "stuffed and mounted" at museums, on plinths, or still abandoned in the wild. So I would believe that more than one of this model exists, even though there isn't really much substance to any such battery loco. So if you want one badly enough, come explore this state............ |

A Mancha battery locomotive sold not long ago on ebay, located in Las Vegas. I think it was 18" gauge. I don't recall what it sold for, but seemed cheap to me. Have attached a few photos.
