I visited Railtown 1897 in Jamestown, CA in April and am now labelling the pictures in my usual detailed manner. However, two are proving difficult to identify as to former owners and numbers. The coach in the first photo is obviously #16 (presumably a Harriman coach) but the passcarphotos website does not include a 16 and the Railroad Preservation Index on Google Sites, which has been very useful in the past, is currently down. Can anyone assist? I have searched this website and the Internet but cannot locate anything and there were no other identifying marks or numbers. http://www.trainweb.org/elizabeth/unknowns.html |

16 should be ex SP #2087, a 1923 built commuter coach. I believe the other car is Dover Patrol, a Pullman lounge/6 bedroom sleeper. The interior layout should be identical to PV Dover Harbor and Dover Strait at IRM. If my memory serves me correctly both cars were bought by the Sierra and transferred to Railtown. |

Thank you for that information, Robbie. I searched Dover Patrol and found the full history. Exactly what I was looking for. I have frequently done searches on RyPN when searching for former owners and numbers and this board comes through again Elizabeth |
