Post subject:  K-28s in Alaska

Some rare WWII photos here of former D&RGW K-28 2-8-2s in Alaska. Nos. 470-472, 474-475, 477, and 479 were requisitioned by the U.S. Army Transportation Corps for use on the White Pass & Yukon. After the war, they were returned to Seattle and scrapped, save for one, which was scrapped at Pueblo.

Neat to see these photos.
Anyone out there ( on the net ) have any shots of the HAWAIIAN
2-8-2's that were supposedly ringers for the K-28's ???
