just for fun - what does your museum call it's newsletter?

Also, has anyone heard of a newsletter named "Stack Talk"?

Thanks -

Jim

In addition to being the former Clearance Card editor for the Age of Steam Railroad Museum, I also initiated and edited, formerly, another museum (AOS) publication called Stack Talk. After starting Stack Talk I found at least 2-3 other publications using the same name. Don't remember who their publishers were.

Several:
Baltimore Streetcar Museum: The Live Wire

B&O Museum: Roundhouse Review

RR Museum of Pa.: The Milepost

Historic Red Clay Valley/Wilmington & Western: The Lantern

Deltic Preservation Society, Ltd.: Deltic Deadline (although there was a movement a while back to rename it "Lifeline" instead of something that sounded like a scrap yard....)

And a few NRHS chapters with museums or equipment:

Harrisburg NRHS: Harrisburg Rail Review

Baltimore NRHS: The Interchange

Friends of the EBT: Timber Transfer (after the structure at Mt. Union that changed standard gauge cars to narrow gauge in later years)

Central Pennsylvania NRHS: The Susquehannock (after the PRR daytime Williamsport-Philly train, named after the local Indian tribe that also gave the Susquehanna River its name)

Philadelphia NRHS: Cinders

Lancaster NRHS: The Lancaster Dispatcher

Washington DC NRHS: The Timetable

Wilmington NRHS: The Transfer Table (after the PRR Wilmington Shops' table)

"Along The Line", which was the New Haven's employee's magazine. It was used from 1920-something until 1959. We use the late 50s "ATL" logo, with a lantern drawing and script letters.

The name is not only historical and topical for us (we operate 20 miles of the old NYNH&H), but "accessible" enough for civilians to understand-- not railroad jargon. The group's newsletter is another PR tool, in my opinion.
