I know this is a long shot, but we are looking stools for our ex-C&O commissary car. We have most of them, but are missing 3 or 4. They were made by the Kewaunee Manufacturing Co. probably in the 1940's. Any leads would be appreciated.

It looks like Kewaunee is still very much in business (presuming it’s the same company):

Maybe contact them directly and see if they’ll make them? I would imagine there’s a marketing opportunity here for them.

Kevin, actually I came across all those except the one on Craig's list. More than $600 a piece is a little much for our budget. Thanks for looking though.

The paint job on that car reminds me of the car that used to be at a welcome center along the 401 at an exit near Blenheim or Ridgetown, ON.

What was the origin of your troop sleeper?

LOL! That's the one! We acquired it about 11 years ago. The photo was taken in that location. It was the municipality of Chatham-Kent that painted it that colour. That will change.

BTW, it is ex-troop sleeper #9398.
