I admire what you are attempting with this site. You seem to have lots of time to devote to this.
(not much homework I guess.)

I hope you will please keep one important thing in mind when you post items on your news page:
Get the facts. Don't publish rumors. There's an awful lot of 'em out there.

All of us around the country who volunteer our time being officers of the RYP groups or museums, spend more time than should be necessary, responding to - and trying to recover from - false rumors.

Sometimes this mis-information can jeopardise dealings with other parties, such as the host railroads, or potential donors, for instance.
When dealing with low -or no- budget projects, like we so often must, we cannot afford to have even one toe stepped on.

Be sure you are posting factual information.
Just because somebody else tells you something, or sends you some E-mail, doesn't mean it's automatically true.

Promote the links (and Thank You !) and let the facts come from the horses' mouths.

Good Luck! I'm hoping to enjoy your factual site!

Oh, and remember that spell-checker!

Thanks Steve,
I Will Make Sure All My News Is Correct. I Know How Many Rumors Are Out There In The Railway Preservation World ( Too Many! )! I Have Great Sources ( You, Dave Kitner, And Jeff Seidel ) Too Get My News From. I Am Working On A History And Roster Page On The WK&S, And I Could Use Some Advice From Anyone On Here ( Kurt Bell? ). I Would Like To Know The All - Time Car Roster ( Coaches, Cabooses, Gondolas, Boxcars, And Flat Cars! ). This Would Include The Make, Model, Number, And Previous Owners. Thanks In Advance!

What high school do you attend? Haven't they taught you about capitalization yet? This is drivng me crazy! You only need capitalize the first word of each sentence and any proper nouns contained within.

GW, it must be a while since you went to school. Like, They don't teach nothing in school no more.

Seriously, our young friends need to be encouraged to adhere to proper syntax, in spite of the fact they aren't properly instructed by our public school "system".

I admire Aaron's enthusiasm. When I was his age, I used to visit some of the steam tourist lines and got rebuffed by some of the old timers who looked down on a twelve-year kid enthralled by trains. Little did they know that I would be among the "next generation" to keep the interest sustained. I even got a chance to work with some of them in later years--talk about ironic. Now Aaron is today's "next generation"--let's give him our support and not be so quick to criticize. Aaron, feel free to use my all-time Rail Tours roster on your web site. I'm glad you can use it. Good luck!

Thanks! I'm sorry! I just like to have my words stand out! I would really like a roster on rolling stock at Kempton.

Post subject:  And it is PA! Re: True News

Come on guys, give Aaron a break. He's covering eastern PA, where the difference between news and rumor is plus or minus one Yeungling Lager. ;-)

Anyway, as long as it is backed up in Railpace, it must be true!
