My crazy bridge hobby has grown (rescuing sixth road bridge now) but I have been offered something that exceeds my needs and really should be put back into rail service. Its heavy enough for min line service and in spectacular condition; bringing back to 100% will be cheaper than any move and can be done in conjunction with the move. Here's some basic info in listing form: Available for railroad use: 165' span length single track modified pin connected Pratt truss listed as 1892 build date. Originally LV. Converted to road use with Conrail's formation but still in remarkable condition. Could be refreshed to new. Located in Bradford Co., PA. Partial funding available, more if used in PA. Anyone have a washout they want spanned or a missing bridge needed to revitalize a section of line? Please PM me with interest or ideas. Regards, Art S. |

Apparently the bridge in question (terrible photos, but better than nothing): http://bridgehunter.com/pa/bradford/87204093700000/ |

Proof it can handle weight: Photo taken by Geoff Hubbs in April 1975
