EMD Displays – F3 Wall/Door Trim and Track Carpet
Here is a very unusual event and display concept. EMD artists applied the paint scheme of a demonstrator locomotive to a fabricated plywood profile of an F3 locomotive nose, with the nose door in appropriate size to fit around the doors of a conference room or hotel ballroom. The display would have been based on Paint and Styling Section drawings and applied by the Paint Shop. The effect was complimented by a railroad track rug. The display is shown at a 1947 management event. No information on its disposition.
