The East Troy Railroad Museum is a successful and growing organization seeking a Chief Mechanical Officer to continue its success. This is a paid position, reporting to the President, responsible for overseeing and participating in maintenance and restoration efforts. The Chief Mechanical Officer (CMO) is responsible for the mechanical condition of all rolling stock, right-of-way, electrical lines and systems, as well as shops and equipment used in the process of inspecting, repairing and testing equipment at the East Troy Railroad Museum. The CMO ensures that all work is done in accordance with applicable FRA guidelines, operations bulletins and best practices for operating tourist railroads. We have a modern maintenance facility with an inspection pit, seven miles of track and electric overhead, with an active and skilled group of volunteers looking forward to full-time coordination and management. We are located in a scenic southern Wisconsin location just 30 miles from Milwaukee and 15 miles north of Lake Geneva.
