A note and photo on the Indiana Bull Session website today, shows round end observation "Pontchartrain Club" (ICRR ex-"Mark Beaubien") behind a G&W diesel being moved from Kokomo, Indiana. Former reporting marks of SLRG 3310 changed to MRLX 3310. Not sure where the car is going or to whom it was sold. Les |

Hello Les, Since it is public information, the Pontchartrain Club was one of a number of railcars which were recently sold from the IPH / Heritage Rail Leasing bankruptcy estate to North Carolina-based Wide Eye Productions. Wide Eye Productions is the outfit which produces the popular TV series "Great Scenic Railway Journeys" which has been shown on many PBS stations around the country. I can assure you that the railcar is quite safe, and will be well looked after. While I have spoken personally with Robert Van Camp, I have no additional info regarding any of the future plans for the railcars now owned by Wide Eye Productions. Hope that answers your questions. |
