Two Rhode Island Co. street cars were unearthed from a 70+ year encapsulation in a restaurant. Much hardware and original details still on the cars.

Too look at the before and after photos, my hand goes out to a beautiful restoration of this trolley. The men who did the work, are really the craft men of the trade. There workmanship is excellent, also the help from the trolley museums, was needed, for the details, of the car. again Excellent Job. Pat.

Scranton 324 (Brill 1903 DT Closed) was in a diner when we found it. It's well along to running again.

It appears that the two cars were part of a group built by the Wason Manufacturing Co (Springfield, Mass.) in 1907 for the Woonsocket St Rwy numbered 74-84 (even numbers only). The cars were later re-numbered by the Rhode Island Company to 1724-1729. The cars were mounted on Standard Motor Truck Company O-50 trucks, had four GE-80 motors and K-35 controllers. They spent their lives working in RICO's Woonsocket, RI lines mostly on the Fairmount to Manville, Rhode Island route. The Woonsocket lines were abandoned in the late 1920s. Judging from other photos posted on a Facebook group, one of the cars could be No. 1726.
