National Capital Trolley Museum received a $35,000 grant from the Maryland Historic Trust for rehabilitation of the trucks from DCTS 1470. This phase provides for the total overhaul of the motor truck assemblies and wheels.

Phase two will include a complete assessment of the car-body rehabilitation needs and creation of an action plan to rehabilitate CTCo 1430 and CTCo 1470 for eventual use on the Museum's demonstration railway. The rebuilt trucks from DCTS 1470 will be used under the first car chosen in this phase of the project. Phase three will be the implementation of that action plan in stages, as funding becomes available.
