I was wondering if any of you know what this was used for. The legs of the U taper to the points, and it says “return to car shop” . On the back it says “Two Harbors” and a date. The string is a leather shoe lace thru a hole, maybe to hold it in place? Thanks in advance.

How does the size compare to a typical truck coil spring? Perhaps it is some sort of wedge for placing or removing coil springs into the side-frame?
