This shot shows the former steam locomotive backshops (lower left); used for freight car repairs since the end of steam. The "lubritorium" building is located towards the upper right. The roundhouse was to the right of the lubritorium, but was demolished in the 60's. This was the N&W 1218's "home base" during most of her working days. N&W shops- Portsmouth, OH whodom@awod.com |
