Does Verde Canyon have any other equipment up for disposal? |

R.L.Kennedy wrote: Does Verde Canyon have any other equipment up for disposal? You misread, or mistyped. Verde Canyon is GETTING more stuff, not disposing of it. (Though some who have to use them routinely would probably make the case that the older locos, even including the FP7s, should be disposed of any minute now, or should have been replaced years ago...........) |

Too bad GCRY is getting rid of the baggage dorm. I tried to argue the case of having it reactivated a decade ago. If the dorm section was replaced with coach seating, the baggage section could be retained for transporting luggage of guests traveling to Grand Canyon for overnight stays instead of using a truck with a trailer, as is the case on most days. Hopefully Verde Canyon puts it to good use! |
