I'll save most of you the trouble of posting individual TerraServer locations. RailwayStation.com has a ton of them listed.

Well Rob, you're right, they do have a ton. There are also a lot of holes.

I took a quick gander at Texas and they were missing a number of sites which would still have, or until recently had roundhouses, or turntables, or remains. Tyler and Amarillo for example.

For the record, the roundhouse in Tyler, link below, and turntable are gone.

Maybe we could work out some sort of collaboration.

The Dallas-Fort Worth planning/regional government has done a wonderful job of putting aerials on the internet. You can get in pretty close on some local sites.

Looks like one of FW&W RR's diseasels in the lead on the day the photo was taken.

This is on the east side of downtown Fort Worth, just north of Tower 55. Someone help me out here, I'm not sure which railroad it belong to.

Interesting to see they are sitting on what I assume is standard gauge track. The trucks must have been modified or changed. The Toronto Transit Commission uses their own unique gauge commonly referred to as TTC gauge. It's about 2 inches wider than standard gauge.

Building in lower left corner with the silver-colored roof is the steam engine shop. Notice the track between the turntable and the building.

They are sitting on 6"x8"x8' wood crossties. If you look a little to the northeast, you can see some blotches that are the broad gage trucks sitting in the yard. MATA just bought replacement standard gage trucks from the Tandy Subway system, which will hasten their efforts to get the cars in service.
