I was active on this board several years ago while volunteering in South Carolina, but dropped out for personal reasons. Those personal issues are now several signal blocks behind my markers. Some of you old heads may remember me. (Cue creepy music) I'm ba-a-ack! ;-) I have recently managed to land my dream job in the Car Shop at what is arguably the most famous preservation railroad in North America. So, now that I am actually being paid to play with... er, I mean *work on* 140-year-old, narrow gauge railroad equipment in the midst of some of the most gorgeous mountain scenery around, I'm back on the Interchange to continue learning and sharing. -- -Matt Conrad Safety is independent of scale and gauge. |
