My good friend Mike Fairburn has reluctantly decided to scale down his activities and has put his three ex-USATC 2-8-0 up for sale and has asked me to mention them here; the details can also be found on line at www.tractionads.co.uk; They comprise: 1631 dismantled and part restored 2138 converted to saturated steam, some motion missing 2364 incomplete, but includes frame cylinders wheels boiler and tender chassis. The locomotives are currently at the Nottingham Heritage Railway (formerly known as the Great Central (Northern), Ruddingon, near Nottingham. Serious enquiries only to mikefairburn57@live.co.uk. Wonder how much better it would do if it was redesigned to be legible. Note to preservationists everywhere, web design matters! |
